Is acclimatization necessary for Gokyo Valley Trek?

Yes, you will have to stay one night in Namche Bazar (3440 meter) before heading towards Gokyo Valley where you will have to trek as high as 5380 meters and sleep at 4800 meters high. During your acclimatize hike, you will go as high as 3840 meters and sleep at 3440 meters on the same day.

What is the best season to trek in Everest Gokyo Valley?

The best season to visit Everest Gokyo Valley lakes are September, October, November and December in autumn and March, April and May in spring. During these seasons, sky is mostly clear, days are mustly sunny and possibility of snowstorm and rainfall is very low.

How cold will it be in Everest Gokyo Valley trek?

The days will be mostly warm while it gets cold between sunset and sunrise. On clear days of autumn, it gets as warm as 20 degree Celsius and the coldest nights in December can go as low as -23 degree Celsius. You will be inside the tea house in the evenings, nights and every morning when the room temperatures will not be less than 5 degree Celsius.
